Internet interactions across networks are often limited to the introduction point. While you can learn more about people in your neighborhood, you only have your personal interest as a reference point to get to know new people online. What would be the winning tactics through introduction when you wish to stay connected with people for a shared interest?

Introduction is The Key to Growth

Online as in the offline world

we often miss on introductions, therefore we miss on the key to growth

, as Lao Tzu says “The key to growth is the introduction of higher dimensions of consciousness into our awareness.”

Introduction Online Point Through Themes

Online support for better introduction is theming. Themes are organized in different ways across social media channels and networks. From librarians to hashtags. Using Google+Collections tool for our themed groups of content help us pay attention and learn more information about the person through the theme they are associating themselves as creators or curators of content.  Google+Collections tool is powerful for enabled most recent technology features on Google+ platform.

Introductions on themes are more or less the preface of a book yet to adapt to your online activities there is one specific requirement. Even if you follow all related marketing tips, it’s an individual resonating message to connect you with your audience. On the Internet, you only have 8 seconds from the attention of the person visiting your theme.

In this article, I’ll go through models from best practices and give you a list for fast reference when you start or manage your online activities.

Introduction Online Point One:  Poll

Curators of content grab your attention with a thesis right from the title on hot topics such as What Comes First with Google+. Their introduction might even start with a poll. The benefit of this instant connectivity is grounded in the expertise of the creator and the users.

What do the polls approach achieve:

  • Instantly identified interest.
  • Including each visitor as part of a new group with the same interest.
  • Receiving a direct neutral answer.
  • Creating an inclusive and welcoming space.
  • Excellent step for engagement

Introduction Online Point Two: Description

More descriptive introductions are used for evergreen content such as travel and food articles, recipes and communities. It is an informative style to tell about yourself and about the work you are presenting. The formula: why, who, where, when, how is a handy tool to keep up with.

Introduction Online Point Three: Project

A summary, bullets, links, and references make a good plan to shout out your project. Keep it brief by being more instructional. Insert all links for a call to action you might choose to direct users to your site.

Introduction Online Point Four: Interviews

Basically, a video is a great way to present ourselves and the theme we are exploring.  Looking at the person is the most natural way we are used to introducing ourselves.  Personal charisma and being comfortable on camera are great opportunity to use and add a video introduction. Simultaneously themes give us the opportunity to avoid being on camera if we wish to yet keep our audience curious. Our visitors can get to know us between the lines we are writing and through our work.  We remain connected through the theme of our shared interest.

The benefits of introduction by interviews are:

  • Variety of content.
  • Entertainment through different visions and standpoints.

Introduction Online Point Five: Unifying Value

The same approach one can apply for curating a specific theme and presenting on ongoing bases collaborator’s work under a unified category. It’s not necessary to write reviews and critique when you find a shared value that is explanatory by itself.
