Learn how to keep conversations in Google Groups organized by turning “On” shared labels. Labels are the new tags and categories in Google Groups settings now.
Google Groups Consistent Conversations
Narrow down the focus of the conversations to certain repeated topics of interest. Make those your shared labels for the Group. In the Use case featured in my video tutorial one example would be our Premiere event with the On E Board Group. In case you wish to see a better demo of the consistency for Premiered events a subscribtion to News On E Board would be beneficial.
Use Shared Labels
Unlike labels in Gmail shared labels are visible to all members of the Google group. Therefore labels help easily sort the conversations.
- Open a conversation and add a shared label from the upper right panel.
- Remove a shared label from the raw of labels above the conversation.
