It is a bit funny ( and scary tho ) how quickly people make up their mind and or loose their attention before their mind and focus start wandering. Because it really is hard to actually say and show anything worthwhile in the handful of seconds that people decide to stick around or move on.
But that is how it is and we can only adapt to that :).

What kind of Tech is required to pull that off
Mike Koontz says
Its not about what kind of tech you use Dozie, it comes down to how engaging you film and produce your video content. And, of course the content itself.

Michael A Koontz “24 million total views. That’s 82 years of watch time” tells a lot about how we have all changed in today’s world. Thank you for commenting! Wish you a nice week:)

Same to you Nina :). And yes, media production and consumption have changed a lot, and will change even more. But at the heart of it all, the quality of the message will always remain relevant no matter how many times people and production companies forget it 🙂

Couldn’t agree more, Michael!

I am actually a bit serious about making use of vr for our UHD book productions. Not that I think vr will actually become mainstream, it´s too nerdy and cumbersome no matter what the tech industry would like us to believe. But I am interested in making use of it because how immersive will it not be to lay back in the sofa in a vr headset and both listen and watch wrapped inside a beautiful vr book.
So while I am confident that the actual usage % will remain super low, for those that do pick up the habit of consuming long form media in vr, that book experience must end up being absolutely immersive and relaxing since there is no sensory input from the outside world while “reading” the book.
So I am looking into how to go about producing proper quality vr books in the years ahead. Just for the sake of pursuing quality experiences, I dont actually believe that vr will be big at all, but I can totally see how it will produce amazingly immersive book experiences when done right, and that is interesting just out of a selfish quality point of view :).

I have a dream about a book, same as you describe it. The one from the image is in my hands, a true vr book. It’s the German stand on Expo 2015 Milan, italy. When you place it above the surface, the contact surface on the four corners activates and you listen and watch the book. That’s fenomenal. Michael!
