one fluid world
In a livestreamed interview from the exhibition site at EXPO 2017, Georg Castlunger is giving a key note about technology innovation and core messages from Astana World Expo, taking place in Kazakhstan.
What is the most impressive from EXPO2017?
Everything is so technological! It’s really jumping into the next Universe and getting to know the general theme ‘Future Energy’. The Kazakh pavilion is a Sphere, ‘Nur Alem’ which is 100m high and 80m in diameter at 8 floors. Every floor has a theme how to source the energy of the future. From the wind to water power, kinetic energy, human energy and how to create the exciting already energy for resources in the future. Countries present case studies, each one has their specific approach.
What are the core messages about ‘Future Energy’ theme?
Create energy out of your own resources! The visitors if the Austrian stand create energy while interacting with the pavilion: while breathing, cycling, pushing and pulling stuff. A core message completely different from the other technological solutions.
How about visitor’s digital experience?
Screens talk to you in your native language automatically in the German pavilion! The more knowledge you learn from the pavilion, the more points you earn and you can even challenge other visitors.
‘Connecting minds’ in Dubai EXPO2020 is the next general theme of our World.

John Skeats the future is exciting! Technology solutions differ for being either technical or intuitive. I’m more curious about interacting and creating the energy, as the core message from Austria. Automatically talking screens and sticks with knowledge must be fun! Like the “talking book” I tried at Expo2015 in Milan.
This Sphere – Museum of The Future is mind blowing! Not to mention the fact that a whole city grew from zero out there and became a capital city! What do you think about this glimpse in the future?
John Skeats says
Nina Trankova It looks awesome!

Nina Trankova says
John Skeats yes, people of the future will live in balance. I believe so.
Nina Trankova says
Florin Punei thank you! I’m really proud to be able to implement connectivity and devices in the way I find meaningful! My compliments are for Georg Castlunger in the first place!
