“Industry 4.0 – The Prospects Ahead
This was a great conference set up by the German-Bulgarian Industrial and Commercial Chamber, celebrating also 25 years of economic relations between the two countries. For me, though it was a reminder how much technology is changing the everyday life – and the industry in all its forms.
As a conclusion, we can say that we live in an economy of change – because while some professions, the law included, are changing rather slowly, others accept innovation every day. And while some positions for workers just disappear, a multitude of new ones spring up.
But the conference showed a very interesting distinction – because while in Bulgaria we are still talking about encouraging innovations and creating the right environment for them, other countries are accepting innovations and are applying one of the main principles of the EU: that public authorities should set an example when it comes to adopting the technology. So, while in Bulgaria innovations come by avoiding bureaucracy, in the EU you can see cities pioneering digital solutions. And this is the next step we as a society in Bulgaria need to take – to not just encourage innovation but to actively review the options it provides and implement them in the everyday operation of authorities at every level.” end of quote.
Earlier this year Germany ranked Nr 4 in the “Fifty Most Innovative Economies” published by Bloomberg. Resource:

Lyuben Todev you are welcome! I’m glad you visited and shared about the event. Germany’s productivity can surface the efficient powers in our country for a better future. At least I believe there’s a previous model to build on.
Lyuben Todev says
Nina Trankova, indeed we have a lot of experience that can be shared between our economies – and it will be favourable for Bulgaria, because we have the most to learn from the other side.
