The opening highlighted Digital Cooperation, a new initiative established by UN earlier this summer. A goal of Digital Communication will be the inclusive multidisciplinary policy as opposed to increasing information silo on the Internet Governance. It has a 9 months mandate.
ICANN touched on security policies and data protection.
One of the trends is towards setting up National governance models and from there to international governance. Security is another trend to be a setup model at the National level.
