The good news about businesses is that local online ranking evidences content about sustainable practice to lead the entrepreneurs on the path of increasing potential customers online.  As anything else, this new approach has characteristics:

Local Online Presence is a process

The process relates to the essential activities of the entrepreneur/business on a repeated basis and into the context of the corresponding environment. The Google team has recently introduced a new tool to support Google My Business, i.e. Collections, Collections Official Community. Collecting and highlighting the unique advantages of your business keeps your position on search updated with the expectations of your current and potential new customers. Their natural interest drives the new meaninglul connections to your business.

Conversation both online and offline

What is the starting point? Merge these 4 steps:

  1. Reviews, collect and publish what customers tell you by placing a handy QR code for them;
  2. Create your Collections and post on daily basis text, images, video;
  3. Stay trendy and include the best related content to add to your Collections;
  4. Be active both on your mobile device and desktop.

Here is my Collection I did for a work in progress: Go Local Online Benefits . I got listed on the first page of Google search for the search phrase “Go Local Online Benefits”.

Collection First Page

This result  focuses the attention to online and offline corelations.  As I’m continuing to collaborate with the experts from Go Local Online team and start implementing digital practice with The Circadians my Collection is shaping a specific approach, which I believe would be helpful to small business and entrepreneurs.

Hints about what are Collections
