Watching WordCamp Sofia 2023 Video Insight will give you an immediate feel about the vibe of the event. The approach to the professional topics on the schedule of the event is an excellent orientation about the future of the WordPress Community in Sofia. WordCamp Sofia is the go to all WordPress related topics and the most valued gather-together venue of the WordPress Community in the first place. This year the event took place on 22nd April, on Earth Day at the John Atanasov hall in Sofia Tech Park.
WordCamp Sofia 2023 is a big success in every aspect. Nearly 400 participants were welcomed by the team of organizers – volunteers and speakers with care to the details and the value of the experience for the WordPress Community!
The Schedule
The participants retained their attention on the schedule throughout the conference day. The sponsors have organised games, coffee time, lunch and the sunny weather complimented socializing.
The Organizers
It’s not the first time I’m meeting with some of the organizers. In 2019 when I hosted and moderated a Live from WordCamp Europe with Nicky Krastev about their experience at Wordcamp Europe 2019.
Who would have thought that the WordPress Community in Sofia will enjoy such an awesome event in 2023 after the interruption due to the pandemic! The fact is I couldn’t make any difference whether we are in Berlin or in another European capital city. The reason is not only the tech-wise facility but the energy, the vibe around the attendees.
I was privileged to take an interview with one of the organizers Nicky Krastev, who was also chosen among the Top 100 Inflencial People in IT in Bulgaria.
This year is of particular importance to the Global WordPress Community, since it’s the WordPress 20th Anniversary. The international events have been planned and the one in Sofia will be taking place on the same date.

The Speakers

I was glad meeting with colleagues and talk about the current state of the daily work related to the development, ChatGPT and AI update and SEO of the websites.
Meetings face to face in our physical world are always voted number one by the professionals in the tech industry. I myself have unforgettable experience meeting fellow Google Product Experts at the regional and global summits orhanized by Google in support of the Google Product Experts Community! It is awesome to have an event of tech Community nature happening in my country. I’m thankful for the opportunity to attent and for the interviews Nicky Krastev, Todor Pulev and Aexander Yordanov gave to me.
