for password accounts that I don’t have full control and can be recovery by somebody else, or recovery system) I just use GnuPG as my password random generator (eg. gpg –gen-random 2 8 | gpg –enarmor | sed -n 5p ) … I implicit trust that my OS random number generator have enough entropy … if I do have full control of the account/private key and it can not be recovery except myself (such as my pgp/gpg keys, bitcoin wallet, etc) then I even don’t trust my computer to generate randomness … I lot of people at bitcoin community use a dice, pencil and paper (diceware) to generate their wallet … that what is called “healthy paranoia” :-p …
